Introduction: I was born and grew up in Ukraine in a small city Kamianske where I got my first music education in Music College of Kamianske and received an associate degree in Music Education. After graduation, I played in the orchestras of the Dnipropetrovsk Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre where I played the second flute and piccolo part, and Theatre of Music and Drama in Kamianske. I continued my education at Kharkiv National University of Arts and got my Bachelor's degree in Music Education and Flute Performance. In Kharkiv, I taught Flute and Recorder in several music schools and was a Lead Teacher in the department of the orchestral instruments in Kharkiv School of Arts. I taught children of all ages and levels from 4 to 18 years. My students successfully participated in competitions and concerts like solo and ensemble performers.
In 2012, my family and I moved to the United States. In the US we lived in different states. Our first stop was California where I started to learn Music in Early Childhood and created a program for Russian moms with their children and then we moved to Florida where I continue teaching in the school for toddlers and preschoolers and also started to teach flute online and helped my student got the first chair in her high school orchestra.
In my flute teaching practice, I use the methods of European masters such as Marcel Muaz, Paul Taffanel, and Ernesto Koller, Russian flutists such as Nikolai Platonov and Yuri Dolzhikov.
As a teacher, my goal is to teach children to love music as I love it. And I believe the more beautiful music in the world, the happier the world would be.
