Introduction: Obedience training is fun and rewarding for you and your dog. It can enrich your relationship and make living together more enjoyable. A well-trained dog is more confident and can more safely be allowed a greater amount of freedom than an untrained one.
Basic formal obedience training includes heeling on- and off-leash, sitting, laying down and calling back as well as appropriate reaction to normal situations involving crowds of people, strange noises, joggers, cars, other dogs, etc. I focus on teaching your dog to obey you, walk on a leash without pulling, heel, sit, stay, lay down, and come on "recall" command.
I do not use any electronic devices such as electronic collars, e-collars, shock collars or prongs. Dogs are sensitive creatures, and it is very easy to break their spirit through the use of negative correction or improper training tools. I support positive training techniques using treats and praise. I advocate more frequent short trainings in order to accomplish your goals and respect your pet.
Dogs I have trained for obedience, tracking and protection have passed exams such as BH, FH1, FH2, SCHH1, and IPO. I have been a member of several European Obedience Clubs and German Shepherd Association including the Czech Rescue Brigade. If you are interested, please send me an email, and I will be happy to answer any of your questions or set up a meeting. Thank you, and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
