Bryan Swihart is the head trainer for the Off Leash K9 Training program in the Charlottesville area. As an Army veterans with multiple deployments; he was impressed with military working dog impeccable obedience and high level of confidence enabling them to be the most well trained canines in the world. With degrees in business and finance giving this training team a solid small business foundation, with the precision and passion needed to transform your dog from unruly to obedient, frightened to confident, timid to content. Bryan has a lifelong love of dogs starting with his first dog âÃÂÃÂSqueak,âÃÂàwho used to sleep under his crib every night. He has owned and trained a wide assortment of dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Pitbulls; including his current comrades, a Labradoodle and an American Staffordshire Terrier. Bryan has a special love for âÃÂÃÂBully BreedsâÃÂàand wants to empower people to showcase what wonderfully loyal and loving dogs they really are. After serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, his desk job is not where his passion is. He is bringing his passion for K9 training and love of dogs to Off Leash K9 Training. Cassie has been involved with dogs since she was a little girl on her family's farm in Minnesota. In 2010, she started using her skills to foster and rehabilitate abandoned dogs for her local SPCA and Southeast German Shepherd Rescue (SGSR). She now sits on the board of SGSR and has personally fostered over 70 dogs all with different rehabilitation needs and personalities. Her pack, German Shepherds Jemma, Jager and Titan, German Shepherd/malinois mix Andy, and senior Labrador Toby, inspires her to help other dogs live off leash every day. Bryan and Cassie are thrilled to bring Off Leash K9 Training to the Charlottesville area, specializing in the same dog training techniques used by the military and law enforcement. This style of training encompasses their core beliefs and philosophy of consistency, fairness, and crystal clear communication that will turn your dog into a well behaved member of society in any situation.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you can easily talk to your trainer. If initial communication is a problem then its doubtful that communication through your course will improve.
