FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is transparent and based on the time, structure, and level of training required. We don’t use sales tactics or push expensive programs. Every recommendation is based on what the dog actually needs and what the owner wants to work toward. Most clients begin with a Homegrown Assessment, which provides real training and clear guidance. In many cases, that session alone is enough to make meaningful progress without additional services. You’ll always know what you’re paying for before moving forward.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a conversation to understand your dog, your concerns, and your goals. From there, most clients begin with a Homegrown Assessment, a focused, two-hour at-home training session where we evaluate behavior, environment, and handling and begin training immediately. This session provides clear direction and practical guidance, and in many cases, it’s enough to make meaningful progress without additional training. If further work would be beneficial, we provide honest recommendations and clearly explain available options so you can decide what makes sense for you and your dog. There are no sales pitches or pressure to continue, just clear communication, structured training, and straightforward next steps.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a formal education at Highland Canine Training School for Dog Trainers, where I completed comprehensive instruction in canine behavior, learning theory, and practical application. My experience includes working with working dogs, service dogs, pet dogs for general obedience, and behavior modification cases. This background allows me to apply structured, balanced training methods tailored to the individual dog and real-world environments.
