We operate the only in-house rug wash facility in Springfield, VA, with a dedicated wash floor, centrifuge rinse & spin, and a climate-controlled drying room. Total Cleaning Services (TCS) did an outstanding job. I had family members visiting from out of town and needed two area rugs cleaned. With so much preparation, I completely forgot about the rugs. I reached out to TCS at the very last minute thinking it was too much of a last minute notice, but Matthew came through for me with flying colors. He cleaned the rugs and also removed hard stubborn stains that I believed would NEVER come out. His professionalism excellent, the price was great. His arrival and delivery times were exactly as he promised. GREAT SRRVICE!!!

Matthew is the epitome of a professional! On time and meticulously removed 4 major carpet ripples by stretching and added carpet tack strips where needed. Overall very neat and clean work! Would hire him again!

We hired Total Cleaning Service to clean our 8x10 shag rug, which had not been cleaned in over three years. Matthew did an outstanding job-he successfully removed old stains and restored the rug making it look brand new! and all within a quick turnaround of just 3 to 4 days.
He handled both pickup and delivery, and even assisted with placing the rug back under our sofa. Matthew was prompt, courteous, and highly professional throughout the entire process. I will definitely be utilizing his services again in the future.

Our pricing is transparent and based on the type of service, the size of the area, and any add-ons, such as pet treatment or Scotchgard. We offer bundled service discounts and never surprise you with hidden fees. Estimates are always free.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin with a brief phone call to understand your needs, followed by a free in-home estimate. I’ll measure the area, explain the process, and provide a firm quote before I leave. There is no pressure — just clear answers and fair pricing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 14 years of hands-on experience in carpet and upholstery cleaning, stretching, and carpet repair. I also completed specialized training in rug dyeing, bleach spot repair, and oriental rug color correction in 2018. I also have 10 years of experience in rug cleaning, and I expanded into a bigger facility in 2021 in Springfield, VA.
