It's impressive to see Ryan at work. He took an unruly situation and within 5 minutes had turned things around. The entire time, he walked us through the process of what he was doing too. We realize that dogtraining is just as much about the owner(s) as it is about the dog, and he's effective with both dogs and humans alike. He was training us just as much as he was training our dog.
We truly learned more in one session than we did in six weeks of a training course at Petsmart. We couldn't recommend him any higher.

There's nothing that could've gone better with the training from Ryan. Our family rescued our dog Riley from A South Korea dog farm where she was being abused so she had serious trust issues. When first starting with Ryan, Riley would growl and bark aggressively when she saw him. By the third session, it seemed like she was more comfortable with Ryan then with our own family members. That in itself showed us how good he was. Everything else we wanted Riley to get trained in Ryan did an amazing job from the basics to more. Riley's vet is even surprised at how good she has gotten and asked us to bring her his business cards. If you're looking for someone who has the patience and a lot of passion for what he does, Ryan is your guy.

We had a great experience with Ryan for our dog Charlie. We had already been through petco training class which was useless and one other private trainer whos methods did not work for Charlie. Charlie listened when Charlie felt like it. After training with Ryan Charlie listens all the time now. He has improved in so many things such as walking and reacting on the leash and understanding what yes and no means. The best part is our 11 year old dog who has never been trained is now following by Charlies example. Also I contacted Ryan many times throughout Charlies training and he always got back to me by either text or phone calls to answer any questions I had. Thank you Ryan for all of your help it was great working with you!!!

I was really worried because my Dottie tested the trainer...He nipped him but within 10+15 min he had him eating out of his hands and doing what he directed. He was very gentle but firm with me and how I lent to my dogs behavior. Absolutely a great training with a great trainer!

I have a rescue puppy, and she's what we think a shepherd/hound mix. She's wonderful, extremely smart, and very affectionate. But, she's a puppy, and I'm hopelessly in love with her, so a lot of her negative behavior remains unfixed. She jumps, she begs for food, she pulls on the leash, she is very possessive of me to the point of aggression, and a whole host of other issues. So finally I reached out for a trainer, and from the start Ryan was my choice. Very polite and personable while organizing the training dates, and very informative during our lesson. It wasn't just training the puppy, it was training me as well, which I think is something everyone can benefit from. The same day after training, my friends all noticed a change in my dog and her responsiveness to my commands. She's still a work in progress, but she improves every day with what Ryan taught us. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a qualified and effective trainer!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to see what the issue is in their current setting. Most times, it's not the dog that's the problem. I want to understand what you are doing so I can focus my effort on fixing it.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love dogs. I believe they are extremely smart and loyal. I don't believe in "bad dogs" and I have taken on the responsibility to eliminate the mindset of people regarding "vicious breeds".
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with pups from 3 months to 9 years old. I've worked with rescues and aggressive behaviors, dogs that can't walk on a leash, dog aggressive dogs, and more. I'm not afraid of a challenge, I welcome it and we have fun working through the solution together.
