I hired ALTA Pest Control to service my parents' house, and now I'm regretting hiring them. They have not only not returned my monthly charges charged thus far but also did not return my initial $250 to treat German roach infestation. That's a lot of money to pay for service not received as per the agreement. Alta was well aware of not just basic pest issues but also of severe German roach infestation, and yet they did not provide the service the house needed to get rid of the pests. Upon reviewing the service provided, product used and how the service was done from day 1, I decided to have an open discussion with the manager and request for a more thorough German roach service to be done but that conversion soon turned into an argument from the service providers side. He did eventually agree to be a little more thorough and right when we thought they would maintain this level of service at least quarterly. They decided to pull back and be a no-show on many occasions. Upon me calling their office, the manager there put up a fight with my mom and I then my sister and canceled our service and did not return the $250 saying that we have used product worth that much at your house already so we are keeping this money. The monthly charge was not all returned to us either. Sad part is, after canceling the first time, they tried to get us back and we stupidly signed up again with the hope that their newly made promises for better service will help clear our house of pests but Alta pest control yet again, was a no show. Not even once did they come back after reinstating and still have not returned the $250. My parents' house is still infested with German roaches and other insects, but Alta has called it quits and taken a good chunk of our money without completing the job. I am extremely disappointed with alta pest control, and I will never recommend them to anyone at all. Please do not fall for the words used to lore you in especially when your house is infested, and also ask a lot of questions around the product and areas covered.

Right now we are currently pricing Thumbtack customers at a discounted rate in hopes to boost our presence on the site.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We find out what pests they're dealing with, and send them a quote. Upon the technician's arrival he checks in with the customer and performs an inspection of the property. He treats the property accordingly and gives recommendations on how to best proceed going forward to keep the property pest free.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We believe the best way to learn pest control is being hands on. Though all our technicians are well studied and licensed, their best attribute is the years of experience doing the job correctly. The owners and service managers come from years of experience working with different companies in the industry before coming to Alta, bringing a more complete and diversified approach to how to get the job done.
