Paul Bross

Introduction: I have an abiding love of learning and teaching. My previous coworkers and managers have praised my ability to explain complex subject matter to both experts and non-technical audiences. I am comfortable in multiple venues, from one-on-one tutoring to larger groups. I specialize in mathematics and related subjects, especially probability and statistics. I am a recognized expert in experimental design techniques and have been published as a contributing author to a major text in the field of operations research. I have taught adult classes as an adjunct professor for several colleges and universities and have enjoyed the personal interaction with my students. I hold myself and my students to high standards and, as a tutor, will seek to impart both knowledge of the material as well as an appreciation for the broader aspects of the subject. One of my core operating tenets is to relate the technical material to everyday life as much as possible as this facilitates understanding. Feedback is an essential element of any teaching situation, and I welcome all responses. I try to be flexible with time. While I have a stated cancellation policy, this does not preclude rescheduling or make-up sessions.
