Solar Filter Company tinted the glass on the back of my house on July 24, 2026, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Shawn was great to work with, and the crew—Chris, Brandyn, and Jared—did phenomenal work. They were professional, friendly, and took their time to make sure everything looked perfect.
They cleaned up after themselves, explained what they were doing, and the finished product looks fantastic. They’re coming back in a few weeks to do the front of my house, and I’m genuinely looking forward to having them back.
I highly recommend Solar Filter Company to anyone looking for home windowtinting. Great people and excellent workmanship.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer a 5% discount for military active service and veterans. We also are a Dominion Virginia Power Participating Contractor in the window film rebate program for commercial properties.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk on the phone or exchange emails or texts to discuss the nature of the window tinting installation. With glass measurements, we can quote a range of budget pricing for our different films. Usually, a site visit is made to show window film samples before the project is accepted.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been providing and installing window film since 1995. We are a 3M Authorized Prestige Window Film Dealer. We hold the four accreditations offered by the International Window Film Association:
Solar Control Specialist, Advanced Solar Control Specialist, Safety and Security Window Film Specialist, and Vehicle Window Film Specialist.
We are a certified 3M safety and security window film installer.
