I hired Stuart to remodel my 1980s master bathroom and I’m so glad I did. He is the whole package: punctual, professional, and very reasonable on cost. We talked through the project and worked together from start to finish to make sure it was what I envisioned. It was always a pleasure having him around. Even my girls and the dog loved him! If you want a reliable, hardworking contractor who won’t take advantage of you and who will collaborate with you on every step of the process, then Stuart is your guy!

We don’t have enough good things to say about Stuart! Not only is his work incredible but he’s also super nice and helpful! He recommended design options for our bathroom, he went to Home Depot and tile stores with us to help us pick out stuff, he was always responsive and always ready to do whatever it took to make sure our bathroom project turned out exactly as we wanted it, and most importantly he is the most punctual person I know. He always showed up on time every single day and for that we appreciate him so much! He recommended the best products and answered our questions efficiently. He was also so good with our dog, Oscar loves him! I had to leave for two weeks while my husband was here and Stuart gave me a hug before I left and after I came back, he’s so personable! We trusted him to be in our house when we were out and to us that was incredibly important! I wouldn’t have picked anyone else to do our bathroom project! And we will probably call him again to do more projects around the house. Thank you so much, Stuart!

Thank you Stuart and the team for the amazing job and helping with my finishing basement (1 bed room, 1 full bath, laundry, wet bar and gym space), you guys did a great job. I was a bit hesitant to use thumbtack for a full unfinished basement completion but I’m sure glad I did. Scottie Contracting (Stuart) and his team were great to work with and did excellent work. They started the project exactly when they said and saw it all the way through completion. When I didn’t have the exact specifics for what I wanted they made great recommendations. I could be happier with finished product. It was also fully permitted and inspected throughout.

We hired Stuart to finish our basement and move our laundry to the top level. He was great to work with during the planning phase and accommodating to all of our ideas and requests. Jamie was also very knowledgeable during the project and patient with making sure things ended up the way we wanted them. There were some delays towards the end of the project due to unforeseen circumstances, but nothing too bothersome. We are very pleased with the final outcomes and would hire Stuart and Jamie again for future projects.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It is difficult to have a standard pricing system as no 2 jobs are the same, that is why it is better to see whats involved before i can give a price. I do not price jobs below there value nor do i price jobs at a ridiculous amount , i think that when i give a price i am very fair to the work involved.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Firstly i try to establish a relationship with the client to see if we are a good fit for each other.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended VA licensing course to be classified as a B class contractor.
