Our experience with Monarch Design and Remodeling (MDR) LLC was by far the best we have had with any contractor. Our project was a complete kitchen replacement. My wife and I immediately clicked with Gina Simpson, MDRs owner who also served as our Project Manager/designer, as soon as we began discussing our objectives and desires. She provided unique and innovative suggestions, often leading to changes that significantly improved the kitchen functionally as well as aesthetically. The design and material selection process was a lot of fun, exceeded our expectations, and led to a beautiful gourmet kitchen that is a real showcase in our home. The construction phase, although highly intrusive due to the fact that a kitchen is a central point in any home, was almost enjoyable given the timeliness (the project was completed entirely on schedule) and quality of the work performed. Ms. Simpsons staff /contractors were friendly, helpful in answering questions, responsive to concerns when we had them, and highly skilled in their professions. Ms. Simpson engaged us daily (on-site or over the phone) to ensure things were satisfactory as the work progressed, made sure we were informed and on board with any revisions, and immediately addressed any aspect of the work that needed to be corrected.

After talking about remodeling our kitchen for more than 5 years, we decided to move forward with a major kitchen, laundry room, and powder room transformation that included the floors, walls, cabinets, appliances, countertops, and lighting. As we got started with the design and planning, we quickly realized that we were facing a large number of critical and stressful decisions. Fortunately, Gina was there to support and assist us throughout every phase of the project. Gina began the process by taking the time to understand our personalities, preferences, and concerns. She accompanied us on multiple visits to cabinet distributors, granite warehouses, tile showrooms, and lighting distributors. Gina developed a great design, offered innovative suggestions, and assisted us with all of the color, material, and style selections. Gina is great at visualizing how the end product will look and function. She did a wonderful job explaining why we would be happy with certain selections and why other combinations would not complement each other or fit within our style preferences. During the construction phase, Gina kept us informed, collaborated with the contractors to solve several unexpected problems, meticulously examined the cabinets and workmanship, and ensured the final project exceeded our expectations. We love and are thrilled with our new kitchen.
