- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't call a Geek, Call an Expert! Retail store chains are in the business to SELL! SELL! SELL! When you have a broken computer, do you really want to unplug it, pack it up and drag it to one of the computer stores 'near you'? Once you get it to the store, you've got to carry it in, stand in line, and then talk to the teen geek behind the counter whose number one goal is to sell you a product or a service plan. When you leave it for 'service', it gets tagged and shipped offsite to their computer lab, where the main goal there is to get it out of their lab as quickly as possible. So the geek might not take the time to back up your data, see what you currently have installed, or make any attempt to reinstall software based on what you tell them you need. After a week or more, your computer is back at the store, ready for pickup. So you go retrieve it, and often pay for unnecessary computer repair services and pc parts, then lug it back home. Once in your home, you've got to re-connect everything. Mobile PC Solutions comes onsite to your location, diagnoses the computer problem(s), and either fixes it there or brings it to the computer lab. If warranted and possible, we back up the hard drive, preserving the current installation, and then fix the computer problem(s). We then return it to you. We check all the connections and make sure that your computer works in your environment, the way that you need it to.
