FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat, discounted rate for online private lessons via FaceTime or Zoom, and I offer discounts for in-person private lesson package purchases of 5 or more lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New dancers can expect to learn the basics of leading or following through beginner level steps. The goal is to get people comfortable dancing with a partner, as well as build their confidence to dance in public and with others (for social dancers). Of course timing, musicality, and technique are covered, but the most important thing is to get people moving. For wedding couples, usually the focus is on their first dance, however, there are many other parts of wedding dances that we can cover.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching since 2009 and dancing even longer. My college degree is in management but my dance training has been from top-level coaches since day 1. Both teacher and dance training give me the ability to communicate effectively with students. My dance background includes ballroom, salsa, jazz, ballet, modern, Argentine tango, and Afro-Cuban styles.
