Best price I have found in the DMV area for amazing value! Mr. Alegre did an amazing job and brought life back to my piano. He is very knowledgeable and performs your piano beautifully at the end of the tuning. He is very professional and I especially liked that at the end of the tuning he said he would send me a message with the details about the tuning session which I had not seen any other piano tuner do. I will be recommending his services to my fellow musician friends and to me students.

It was such a pleasure having JC tune our console piano. He responded quickly and provided several appointment options. He was super friendly and explained the tuning process that would be best for our piano. The piano was quite out of tune and he worked some magic. It sounds so great! As promised, JC provided a summary of the tuning and the recommended tuning schedule soon after. I will definitely hire JC again when it comes time to re-tune our piano!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer the most competitive rate for piano tuning in the Washington DC metro area: a flat fee of $155 for a top quality tuning service fully customized to your own piano. Pianos that have not been tuned in a long time may need a pitch adjustment, which is a $50-$75 surcharge. I will be able to determine the need for pitch adjustment once I hear the piano.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I seek from my new customers information about the piano, how often is played, and the last regular tuning performed. I also share details of the tuning session, including average time needed to complete the job, any potential additional adjustments, and ask for any other additional information that will help achieving the best outcome from a customized tuning session. I also offer various options about my availability to perform the tuning so the customer can choose the most convenient day and time.
