FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat rate of $155 for tuning of pianos that are kept regularly in tune. Pianos that have not been tuned in a long time may need a pitch adjustment, which is a $50 surcharge. I will be able to determine the need for pitch adjustment once I hear the piano.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I seek from my new customers information about the piano, how often is played, and the last regular tuning performed. I also share details of the tuning session, including average time needed to complete the job, any potential additional adjustments, and ask for any other additional information that will help achieving the best outcome from a customized tuning session. I also offer various options about my availability to perform the tuning so the customer can choose the most convenient day and time.
