Mr. Thompson is our new go-to contractor for anything within his skill-set, which includes a great deal! We liked him from the start and are impressed by the final results. He contacted me via Thumbtack to talk about the project (a bathroom renovation), followed up the next day, and was at our house to get a visual idea of what the room looked like the day after that. He was very professional, looked at our project from a budget -conscious view, was ready with a visual presentation of his recent past work, and was quite open to our ideas, providing his voice of experience along the way. He agreed to let us buy our own materials (we get a military discount at Home Depot) and he picked them up there when he was ready to use them. He began work two weeks after we agreed to our plan, which was pleasing. We expected to have to wait. Then, he came to our house every day, when he said he was going to, and worked all day, staying on his target time frame. He was courteous to get the new tub and shower in first so that we wouldn't have to go to the gym for showers but for a few days (we only have one full bath). He was careful to keep the rest of the house clean, and he never let the dogs escape! He was friendly to our son, and just had a generally friendly and cool attitude. His price was fair and he the quality of his work meticulous. He communicated well and worked extra on occasion to get the project done timely. Mr. Thompson is a great find. If you are looking to get an estimate by a few experienced contractors before you start an expensive project, be sure that he is one of them!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is extreamly competitive. As a sole proprietor I do not have the overhead that many larger companies have which allows me to keep my costs low. I am always willing to work with a customer to try and keep projects within their budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take pride in every little detail so my first step is to look at the job to ensure I cover all aspects of the project. From their I can put pricing together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor degree in construction management. 20+ years experience in the remodeling Industry.
