- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I explain my process, go over my contract and invite clients to follow along with me at the beginning of an inspection. I use my tablet computer to collect data and explain deficiencies and drop photos in next to comments to help explain my findings. At the end of my inspection I verbally go over my summary and ask for questions. I then deliver my report via email the same day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Previous experience as a supervisor for a home builder. Previous home improvement contractor. 100 hour Allied home inspection course. 20 hours per year or more of continuing education as required by The American Society of Home Inspectors to remain certified.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had an interest in home construction. I've previously had experience with home building as well as home improvement. So I became interested when I learned of a high school friend being in the industry.
