I am very happy with the work Insite Geomatics completed. I found the company through thumbtack and they were very responsive immediately and took the time to answer my questions thoroughly. We live on a corner lot and wanted to extend our fence to maximize our yard space. When we decided to move forward with the work they were able to schedule me at their earliest availability as well as accommodate my busy schedule. On the day of, they explained the work they were going to do verbally and on a written document; when finished, they did a walk-through of each location where my lot's corners (and stakes) are located. Steve was very professional and pleasant to work with, my husband and I are very pleased with the outcome of their work and with the company itself. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a land survey - great quality work at a good value, takes his time to do the job correctly, and pleasant attitude towards customer. I had our land surveyed and found that our neighbor was over the line with his fence. Also, the contractor had to come back and extend the width of our back yard by 5 feet and laid sod. The cost was really good and saved us money. Well worth the expense when you move into a house, new construction, or old. This is something that you need to do right away.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our minimum fee for any service is $650. We have had clients which hire us on a hourly not to exceed bases, in which case our rate is $145 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our clients contact us through the Thumbtack website, then we setup a date and time to speak by phone. After we complete each project, we walk the property with the owner so they throughly understand what they are paying for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The education I received was a four year program sponsored by the Virginia Association of Surveyors.
