My business stands out in the photography world because of my special attention given to every client as well as my careful planning of the details. I genuinely care and want to get to know every client. I provide each client with a questionnaire which helps me to better serve them and create a shot list this is uniquely theirs. I educate every client with info on what to expect, wardrobe, hair and makeup ideas as well as how to best prepare for the session. When working with engaged couples, we do a lot of communicating as the planning progresses, easing their nerves, and creating confidence that I am there for them and will be there on their most important day. As an artist and mother, I believe that in every day life there is beauty to behold and there is joy to be remembered, and there is life to be celebrated and transformed into extraordinary works of art. This is my why. I delight to help others capture those moments of life, joy and beauty that is uniquely theirs. I love serving others through photography.

I had a wonderful photo shoot with Leah! She incorporated all of my ideas into the photos. We have beautiful pictures to hang in our home, and for our son to look back at when he's older.

White Black Photography is absolutely phenomenal! I worked closely with Leah to plan a photo shoot for my best friend's surprise engagement, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and clearly put her whole effort into making it a great experience for my friend and her (now!) finace. She met with the boy friend to plan out where the engagement would be, looked at lighting, and worked with our schedule to make it a huge success putting in time before, during and after our event. The pictures turned out gorgeous and I would absolutely hire White Black Photography to do future events! Leah and her team were able to capture such a special day for us, and made the photo session as comfortable as possible. A huge thank you to Leah and her team!!

Truly the most professional photography experience I have ever had. And the quality of work is exceptional. I was so impressed with the skill that Leah had with suggestions and pointers during our session. I'm a first time mom and she is a mother of six. She knew just how to guide me through getting my 2 week old infant to calm and position for the photos. I know that she is excellent with all kinds of photography sessions by looking at her portfolio but she is one amazing newborn photographer. I intend to use her here in for all of our family photo sessions!!!

We didn't actually get to do the photo shoot because of the weather. However, Leah was very professional in all the dealings I had with her. I look forward to rescheduling the photo shoot when my family is able to get together again.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an inquiry from a customer we love to do a quick chat over the phone to gain a few more details and to answer any questions they may have. Once we set a date with our clients, we either meet in person or send via email (depending on distance to client) our welcome packet.( For wedding photography, we always meet in person atleast once and walk the venue with the client a few months prior to the wedding day.) Our Welcome packet includes our questionnaire for our client to fill out that helps us to get to know them better and it gives them a chance to share what they envision for the shoot. We also include a contract which describes all of the details of the services being provided along with information on our policies. We also provide clients with a link to our Pinterest page which has tips on hair, makeup, and wardrobe. Upon request, we can offer professional makeup and hair from an artist that we love to work with, at an additional charge. Once the photography session or wedding is completed, I provide each client with a "what to expect" timeline from the day of the photoshoot/wedding up until the delivery of their final products.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Joel has a degree in cinematography from Full Sail University and was the class salutatorian as well as received other awards for his work during his schooling. He recently has received awards for his short story film work from a film festival. Leah has had a lifelong passion for photography and studied it in high school and also at the college level. She and Joel love working together on shoots as their artistic styles complement each other well.
