FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some students require shorter sessions of time while others are comfortable with longer time frames. Sitting in one place for too long can be quite detrimental to progress and success of students. Therefore, I charge per hour, not per session. Prices include local travel if needed and grading time (unless additional time is needed for larger projects). I will provide discounts for multiple immediate children within a family.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first meeting will involve a mini interview with questions we will ask and answer for each other. It is important that I receive the student’s ideas of goals, dreams, methods of learning, personality type, subject preference, strengths and weaknesses, etc. I will also require a small writing sample (student chooses from a list of topics), which will be used to reflect upon at the end of our course of tutoring.
