Introduction

When choosing a DJ for your next event, make sure you are hiring a professional and not a hobbyist. I am an award-winning DJ based in the DC, MD, and VA area. My style of music comes from my background of serving in the US Army, those whom I served with, and the places I have traveled. In a short amount, I have rose to the ranks of being one of the top DJ's in the Northern Virginia area. My work has received multiple honors & reviews, to include a Thumbtack Best of 2016 award. I make sure that I provide the best quality in music and provide the best sound for your event. I spin an open format of music that varies from Hip Hop, Old School, R&B, Dance, Latin, and Pop. My vast knowledge of music and knack for incorporating the craziest mixes into my sets will ensure an epic time whenever I host a party!!!

Polite, timely, able to engage the crowd. Mixes music seamlessly. Knows how to create his own beats. Many guests asked for his card. Would hire him again!!

DJ Hot Boi did an amazing job for our all night grad celebration for the Class of 2016. With 250 students at our facility, he kept the music going to keep the fun, celebratory atmosphere going. He was on time, stayed all night, helped with our hypnotist show and finished by helping us announce all our raffle winners. Well done!

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! DJ Hot Boi was BEYOND helpful, understanding to MANY last minute changes & professional. His ability to remain flexible and positive set the tone of the atmosphere & my guest LOVED him & the guest of honor - my daughter - had a BLAST!! IF after reading his reviews (including mine) and you are still "unsure" - trust & believe I am a RELIABLE source! I come from NYC & both my brothers were & one still is - DJ's. My brother actually couldn't DJ for me because he had a huge gig in NYC. So basically what I am telling you is - I grew up on music EVERYDAY in my house blasting because both my brothers had such a luv for music & learned to DJ.. My brothers are of the era of the greats.. The REAL DJ's.. Tony touch, Little Louie Vega / Mrs. Vega.. Etc.. So basically you WON'T regret hiring him!! Again - Eric THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! *would hire again! Actually my sister is hiring him for her wedding in GA!

DJ Hot Boi DJed my wedding. He is a very nice, easy going guy and was very patient with me. He did a great job playing the right type of songs at the right time. Everyone had fun and if was the best night of my life!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The best advice I could give is to check their reviews, and/or ask for references. Anyone can buy a set of turntables and laptop and call them self a DJ. What I have noticed is that many DJ's don't even provide mixes/samples of their work. If iTunes can provide a snippet of a song prior to purchase,...then a DJ can to! When selecting you DJ, choose a professional and not a hobbyist.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before talking to a DJ about your project, it is great that the customer know what type of music they want played. If you know you have diverse crowd at your event, try to talk to your guests and ask what type of music they like.
