Hey! I am Kari and thanks so much for your interest in my company!! So you're probably wondering what makes me different from other photographers? Well.... I get to know my clients personally. I would like to think it's not a business but working with my clients to produce beautiful products and to create friendships. I have photographed so much of my client's lives and very important moments. I have clients that I started with their engagement and now photographing their beautiful families. In addition, I am a super laid back, fun and easy person to get along with. To piggyback off my previous paragraph, I have been featured 7 times and published 28x. I offer four different packages that DO include digital images. If clients want something other than my offered packages, we can create a custom package tailored to your needs. A special fact about me: I have been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for 8 years working with individuals with special needs and after completing two degrees, I hung that hat up to go full time. My husband and I have always been a bit chaotic, and not very well prepared (we call it spontaneity 🤪). All we knew for our wedding photos was that we wanted my husband’s car and some smoke bombs involved, and that we wanted a DC feel. Our photographer helped us figure out the perfect location; and even though NEITHER of us knew exactly how to get exactly there until the day of, she showed up perfectly on time, fighting traffic and all! The experience shooting with her was super fun! Any nerves we had completely went away as soon as we started talking. She had a professional and easygoing demeanor, and knew exactly where we should be and how to capture the best shot. We can’t thank her enough for making our special day just that much better, and for all the amazing photos we now have because of her!

Kari did a great job capturing my proposal. She was very responsive and helpful during the planning process. My fiancé was really surprised when I proposed and she had no idea a photographer was nearby. Kari did a great job of being stealthy and playing “tourist.” The photos look great and it was well worth the investment.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based off the equipment I use, location, time photographing, product the client wants, and type of service.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to get to know new people. I start out with chatting with a new client beforehand and get to know them and what they are looking to get. I have multiple event and portrait packages to cater to all different client needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took a sociological photography class in my undergraduate studies. I learned how to photograph manually and would have assignments based off what I learned and different aspects of photography.
