H&S understands that there are some jobs that are a bit different so we are willing to negotiate on pricing above base prices, or use the customer's materials but we will not compromise on quality. If the customer furnishes the stain or paint, H&S takes no responsibility for the coverage area and will charge the base price, mobilization fee and any associated fees for lack of product to complete the project to the customer. Example: The customer has 3 cans of stain that declare 300 SQ FT of coverage, the deck is 900 SQ FT, the 3 cans in the end only cover 700 SQFT, H&S is not liable for the lack of product needed to finish the project and will charge an additional gas fee for fuel needed to retrieve further product to complete the task or if H&S is left waiting for the customer to retrieve the product, H&S will charge the hourly Handyman fee per hour while waiting for the product to complete the project. H&S will not be liable for differences in texture, finish or color for all customer furnished stain or paint jobs. Average handyman hourly of $35 per hour flat rate. Regular customer prices are $25 per hour with a $15 mobilization fee per visit after 3 projects. We care enough to take the job and do it right, there are those who want "cheap," and cheap is great but quality, security, integrity, reliability, and honesty do not always come with "cheap," and on those issues we will not compromise.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1.Introduction through either phone call or physical walk through with the customer. 2. Detailed notes taken and objectives defined for the request. 3. Reach an agreement with the customer as to what you expect and our ability to deliver. 4. Once we agree, sign an authorization of the statement of work and H&S will deliver service. 5. Partial payment can be accepted at this time for certain projects and final payment upon delivery or agreement of hourly payment will be applied depending on the arrangement agreed to with the customer. This can be done in a matter of minutes but lessons learned from past experiences shows that sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that clients and professionals walk into. We have learned that if we are not clear in our communication nobody will be happy and that is something that can easily be avoided.
