Nelson and his team of guys did an amazing job on my project. I renovated my 1980s kitchen and tore out the linoleum flooring there. The rest of the first floor is hardwood that had endured 40 yrs of wear and tear. My desire was to have the kitchen floored with wood to match the rest of the house and then have the floors refinished. Many other companies told me they couldn’t do it because of the aggressive bevels on the edges of the old flooring. They advised I just have everything torn out and new hardwood installed. Nelson on the other hand assured me that his team could bend the new flooring in with the old and the sand and refinish everything to match. I had my doubts because so many others had told me they couldn’t do it. However, I wanted to keep the old floors so as not to fill the landfill with what is otherwise good wood. I am blown away with how good the floors look. The guys completely sanded out the bevels (seen in the photos) such that the old and new floors match so much so that I can’t pick out where the old floor ends and the new floor begins. The floors look probably better than they did when first installed. The Capitol Floors team were punctual each morning and cleaned up at the end of the day. They put plastic down over all the surfaces to protect from dust and sealed off the upstairs also. What I really appreciate is that each time there was a decision needed to make as far as stain, finish, etc., the guys pulled me aside and walked me through options, answered all my questions and gave me their best advice when I asked for it so that I could make the best informed decision. These guys are true professionals and it shows in the quality of their work. My job was a complicated job that they knocked out of the park. If I have a flooring job in the future, Capitol Flooring will be my go to company and who I will recommend to friends, family, and coworkers. I am confident that they can handle any flooring project you have, no matter how complicated.
