I called Think Metal LLC Saturday evening, around 6 pm on May 30th and left a message. Chanon called me back within the hour, and we made an appointment for next day, Sunday, May 31st. Awesome!
He got there at 11:30 am and immediately got to work.
I needed a bracket that holds the alternator in my car repaired. It wasn't a one, two, three easy job, but Chanon patiently and methodically got the job done.
But this is the reason why I HAD to write this review. After he finished welding the bracket, he could have packed up his equipment and left. But instead, he stayed and asked me to put the alternator in to see if both bolts would go in properly! Wow!
So it initially appeared that the place where I told him to solder was wrong. I tried to put in the bottom bolt, but couldn't. Chanon said, "Let me try. " So he put in the bottom bolt that I was trying to put in for 10 minutes.
The top bolt was not flush and Chanon suggested that, if I was comfortable, that he could solder the alternator to top of the bracket, which was my original problem, and I agreed because it's a very old car.
Again, Chanon said, "Let me try." So I agreed and Chanon pushed the alternator further so that the top bolt could go in.
To my amazement, Chanon was able to put the top bolt in, so he didn't need to weld the alternator to the bracket. Both bolts went in and Chanon WAITED for me to tighten BOTH bolts, then gave additional layers of support to the soldered areas.
So Chanon not only soldered the bracket back in place in PERFECT alignment, but he was instrumental in putting both alternator bolts in for me!
I NEVER had a contractor extend himself like that, the way Chanon did!
The soldering bond was very strong. I reconnected the alternator and it's working perfectly! It was well worth it calling Think Metal, LLC and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company.
There are other welding projects that I have in my house and I will absolutely call Think Metal LLC again and everyone should call Think Metal LLC first!

FAQs
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I come out to look at the job to see what needs to be done, give them an estimate. Customer must pay 20% upfront before the job is started and the final payment is to be made 3 hours before the job is complete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I stated above, I went to trade school for a 1 1/2 years. I’ve obtained all my licenses and certifications and also, recently, paid for my LLC to operate my very own business.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started when I attended trade school in 2016 and felt like it’s my purpose in life (one of many)
