I wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience working with Occoquan Pool Services and your team. First, I do want to say that I appreciated the responsiveness throughout the process, and your team did a good job cleaning the pool itself. Since the pool had not been utilized in nearly three years, it was in very rough condition, and I recognize the amount of work that took. That said, there were several concerns that came up afterward that I feel are important to share. I was told that because water was leaking from the hot tub, I likely had a leak in the system. This concerned me because prior to the pool being closed, the pool had undergone extensive restoration work, including leak repairs and resurfacing. Since then, I hired another company to evaluate the system, and several issues were identified: I needed a check valve installed, although I had previously been told the elevation of the Horton system was level with the equipment and did not require one. There were no filters in the pump. The team appeared unable to fully operate or configure the system. The heater and equipment are all functional, and I was ultimately able to set up scheduling through the indoor control unit. I do understand the system is older and may not be familiar to everyone, but it does appear the system itself was operational. There was also a leak in the filter box. One of your technicians attempted to repair it with putty, which I appreciated as an effort to help, but it was not a permanent solution. Fortunately, I was able to patch the issue rather than replace the entire unit, which I had been quoted approximately $1,400 for. My biggest concern overall is that while the pool itself was cleaned, the system was never truly brought into proper working condition. As someone who is not a pool expert, I trusted that the system was operating correctly, and I worry that some of these issues could have caused damage if left unresolved. I am sharing this feedback constructively, not negatively. I appreciated parts of the experience, but I also think these are important areas for improvement, particularly when customers are relying on your team’s expertise to ensure the system itself is functioning properly. I hope this feedback is helpful.

Great experience. I will always use Occoquan. Took a pool that had been neglected for years and broguth it back to life. Kept it maintened on sechdule and closed when season was over. One less thing I need to worry about as I have a trusted service to handle it for me.

Highly recommended!! Excellent work doing my replaster and refurbish of my 20 year old pool. They even fixed the crack in the deck without cost/ask. Great people that know a lot about pools! 5/5 stars!
