- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees range from $150 (no rehearsal, one meeting, less than 50 guests) to $350 (rehearsal, 2-3 pre-ceremony meetings, unlimited number of guests). If the wedding is within 40 miles of Yorktown, there is no travel charge. If it is outside the area, I will charge mileage at the IRS business rate. If the wedding is more than 90 minutes from Yorktown AND includes a rehearsal, you will need to provide lodging (a hotel of your choosing).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I set up an initial meeting with a couple to discuss their desires for their wedding ceremony. I then have us sign a contract detailing our mutual expectations. For intimate ceremonies, only one meeting is necessary. For a larger ceremony, I will often meet with a couple for at least one additional session to plan the ceremony.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Divinity (96 hours of graduate-level coursework) and 12 years of experience as a pastor. I have conducted numerous wedding ceremonies, both large and small.
