Introduction: I have taught for many years and I have a very good eye. I am able to make small adjustments to poses that help the student experience success every time. I also incorporate humor into my classes, so the times speeds by and everyone has fun. I have studied yoga for 45 years and taught it for 40. I think yoga is a wonderful form of exercise and I love sharing it with people who are not necessarily dancers or gymnasts.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I regularly study with a teacher who is more advanced than I am and I regularly take workshops to improve my teaching skills for specific needs or for particularly troublesome poses (like backbends or twists)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Back in 1973, my hair dresser and I were talking and I told him that I do yoga. He thought the hair salon would love to have a class. My first class was in the hair salon with a nutty group of hair dressers. We all had so much fun, I started teaching elsewhere - and a career was started.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Your teacher should be able to show you modifications of poses that enable you to experience success in the pose. He or she should take your fears and concerns seriously. The teacher should be able to spontaneously modify any pose or any sequence to accommodate your needs.
