- What types of customers have you worked with?
I primarily write feature articles and website copy, but am quite versatile and can write whatever the client is interested in: from technical writing, to reports, to communications materials, to blogs. I also edit the same wide variety of materials and am available for projects ranging from light copyediting to more substantive content editing. My clients have included international and national organizations, but I also welcome working for local and regional customers as well.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's important for both parties to be clear about expectations from the outset. I like to get as much information as possible up front from my client, so I know what the goals of the project are, who the stakeholders are, what the timeline is, and what kind of results the client would like to see. Effective communication throughout the project is of the utmost importance, even when much of the work is being done independently, so that my clients are more than satisfied when the project is completed.
