Introduction

Hey everyone! My name is Derek and besides friends and family, playing guitar is what I am most passionate about. I have always been drawn to the instrument and helping others learn to be able to play what they enjoy and help express themselves through the instrument. Everyone has different goals, interests, and learning styles which I will be more than happy to cater to and come up with lessons you will enjoy and push you. My main goal is to take the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years along with the things I wish I knew when I started and make it easy for my students. I know there’s thousands of teachers out there, YouTube videos, online lessons, you name it so I really appreciate you taking the time to give me a shot! I’d love the opportunity to work with you or your kids!

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to all potential students to make sure I can be a good match for what they’re trying to achieve!

Get to know them, learn about their goals, see where they are currently at in their guitar journey, and help them get from point A to point B.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No formal school education that focuses specifically on music but I’ve had many years of playing, personal guitar lessons, and playing in bands with my friends.
