Ive studied English with Connor for nearly two years, and my overall experience has been very agreeable and gratifying. Taking his classes has enabled me to polish my English mainly in the Speaking and Reading areas. He is very knowledgeable and able to answer any doubts coming from students of different levels. What I consider he does great is the following: explaining all kinds of concepts such as vocabulary words, slangs, idioms, etc., which often are challenging to non native speakers through clear and understandable examples, encouraging his students to participate in class, and patiently helping them in the fields they struggle with the most. Through a varied, well-structured and organized methodology, he is able to keep the class engaged, allowing students to have a rich and effective progress in their learning experience. It goes without saying that he is very good in his field, and I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from such hardworking, wholehearted and talented teacher. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates are always negotiable depending on distance and time. Packages are also included if student wants to meet more than once a week.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first session or two is used for an evaluation process. During that time, I will work with the student to come up with a comprehensive plan to move forward with a suitable curriculum. I'll touch on all aspects: writing, reading, listening, and speaking.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Mandarin in college and have been a full time/part time Mandarin teacher for seven years. I've worked with all age groups, from toddler to adult. I have taught ESL for Asian Americans for Equality and am currently an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University.
