My son enjoys his lesson every week. He thinks he’s the coolest. Connor is very encouraging and motivating. My husband also takes lessons with Connor and he’s excited every single time with his progress. I was a little anxious to do online learning and had some questions before starting what seems like a very complicated language (mandarin), but Connor was professional yet laid back, answered all my questions, and explained the plan ahead in a way that made me feel on board with the lessons. So far it’s just the beginning but i am truly looking forward to my next lessons with him.

On our first trial lesson, Connor kept my 6 year old interested with images of pets and cartoonish characters that naturally appeal to kids. My son was smiling and forgot some of his inhibitions by the time we got to a game of tic tac toe that Connor modified to reinforce counting numbers and practice of simple vocabulary words he just taught. I look forward to future classes.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates are always negotiable depending on distance and time. Packages are also included if student wants to meet more than once a week.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first session or two is used for an evaluation process. During that time, I will work with the student to come up with a comprehensive plan to move forward with a suitable curriculum. I'll touch on all aspects: writing, reading, listening, and speaking.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Mandarin in college and have been a full time/part time Mandarin teacher for seven years. I've worked with all age groups, from toddler to adult.
I have taught ESL for Asian Americans for Equality and am currently an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University.
