FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 per hour for general carpentry, handyman work or by the job as agreed upon prior to commencement. Replacing damaged areas is usually by the hour as you don’t know how much needs to be replaced or repaired until you open it up.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I respond to a lead, we establish a rapport while talking about their needs for a job completion. We review the materials and work needed, decide whether I need to look at the job and give a quote or whether they will supply the materials and I can just work by the hour. We agree on a time to meet and do the job. When the customer is satisfied with the job I have done I get paid and email an them an invoice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40 years residential construction in California. 30 years in Santa Cruz CA. 21 years as a General contractor managing residential remodel jobs, and sub contractors. Seam less coordination of work, meeting the needs of clients, architect, engineers and building inspectors while maintaining smooth efficient production on the job site
