- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When I send a quote, I typically put a per hour charge based on the information provided in the request (length of event, number of guests, location, etc.) However, it is impossible for this price to ever be 100% accurate since the requests never have all the information needed to properly quote the cost for event day-of coordination. it is not until after I have spoken extensively with a client to understand exactly what they are looking for that I will quote a final price. My final quote will cover the necessary hours for the actual day-of coordinating for the event, but will most often include unlimited emails and phone conversations during the planning process and will include at least one in person meeting prior to the event to go over all of the details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to obtain as many details about what the client is envisioning for their event so I can determine how large of a role I will play in the coordination and execution of their event. This will involve me asking numerous questions to have a feel for how the client's day will unfold. I'm also sensitive to the fact that planning an event takes a lot of time and the client may not know the answers to all the questions - that's expected and completely ok! I will continuously work together with my clients through the entire planning process right up to the day of the event. I will make sure all the details are outlined so that the execution of the event is a success. My job is to make the day of the event as seamless & stress-free for the client as possible!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked at a wedding venue for two years coordinating weddings from 25 guests to 250 guests. Since starting to work on my own, I have helped plan and execute events, including weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties and more! My main focus is day-of coordination, but I am always willing to give some guidance and input during the planning process as well! I am extremely organized and detail oriented - characteristics necessary for this job. There are many moving pieces when it comes to hosting an event and my abilities to prioritize, multi-task and delegate are what helps bring all these pieces together!
