Introduction: Thanks for checking in. Are you a natural caretaker? Maybe you are in a healthcare profession, or your baby is your business? Has something in your life led you to realize this fixing and doing mentality is wearing you out. Bypassing your own emotions in favor of giving to others, has left you depleted and drained. Perhaps it is a job stress that just got greater, a relationship that broke down or someone in the family got sick or was injured. But this is just one part of of the total problem. Your health and wellbeing is suffering, because you have habitually put yourself last on your own to do list. Many of my clients have lost touch with themselves. They fear judgement, worry about making drastic life changes, and have chosen to play it safe. The problem is, sometimes when we protect ourselves we also stop taking risks that could be beneficial to living a more fulfilling life. The result of playing it safe leaves us lost, lonely and disconnected from ourselves. The Resilient Practitioner™ is a transformational Coaching Program that helps therapists, doctors, and other caring people prevent burnout in 90 days without making drastic life changes so they can experience better relationships and more work life balance. Believe it or not, what you need has always been there, you have the resources to connect to yourself. It is possible to find a deeper compassion, greater clarity, more vitality, and wellbeing. The Resilient Practitioner will help you reduce stress, anxiety, habitual patterns, conflict and let go of bad habits. My client's ultimate outcome is work life balance which translates to greater ease of being, a powerful vision and life purpose. Having been in emotional wellness for 30 years with roles as therapist, counselor, school psychologist, and therapeutic recreation specialist, my support to you as a resiliency and somatic coach naturally evolved through my own ongoing transformation. I am a fee for service business. My post traumatic growth from having brain surgery was the catapulting force that led me to the strong convictions that ultimately moved the lens of my work to lean strongly on eastern practices, neuropsychology and holism as a foundation of the way towards true emotional/spiritual wellbeing.

Jennifer is awesome! We have been working for a few months on managing my anxiety and depression and she has helped me so much! I was in search for a holistic/yoga approach to therapy and she fit my needs perfectly! She incredibly approachable and makes me feel so comfortable during every session. Jennifer’s schedule is flexible and I never have difficulty finding a time to talk. I highly recommend her to anyone in search of a therapist!

Working with Jennifer has been wonderful. She honors, acknowledges and listens with compassionate, neutral ears. She has assited me in tapping into the inner wisdom that resides within me and take with me many different tools to utilize in my everyday life; learning that everything I need already exists inside of me. Her supports I find extremely helpful are her simple breath work exercises, meditations and the way she begins each session honoring me and asking what I need to begin with. Working through a somatic framework has been life changing as it has shown me how my body reacts, holds memories, shifts and changes for many different reasons and experiences. Being able to revisit and explore these feelings has been pivotal in my healing.

Erin, I am grateful to work with you as you grow deeper trust in that inner knowing. The agent and driving force to your healing is you. Thank you for sharing your experience of your work.

My work with Jen as a part of the Restoring Resiliency program was invaluable. As a teacher, in our group sessions, I found support for all of the stressors and challenges facing me during this tumultuous time in education and beyond. In my individual sessions with Jen, I was able to find balance and peace following years of heartache and stress. This was an incredible experience for me.
Mind Body Awareness's reply
Dear Shannon, Thank you for your kind words. You remain committed to this life and it shows in the way you show up for others, and have shown up for your Self. Peace today and beyond.

I have known Jen for a little over four years; working together on sustaining a grounding lifestyle, navigating the ins and outs of triggers and teachers, and diving into all that I am capable of. I have found stability through our growth and capitalized on the gift of my present through vulnerability, integrity, and honesty. As a coach Jen offers guidance to take your life into your own hands and own what is yours, to own the good, the bad, and the ugly. To be okay not being okay. I am learning sustainable life tools. Working with Jen has transformed my view on life and how to care for myself. I am learning that compassion is a practice, and to peel away the resistance.

I've had a wonderful experience working with Jen/Mind Body Awareness. I have experienced a fair amount of work related burnout and compassion fatigue working as a nurse/nurse practitioner. Jen has helped me to cultivate resilience and build practices to carry forward while guiding me on my journey to building a healthy and fulfilling life and career. Thank you Jen!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The rate for my fees is an average. A customer who works with me receives, individual, group and supportive ongoing learning to round out a total sequential healing experience. We find out your needs, your goals, and together set the course with the pacing and the material that has proven to work for my clients in the past. I continue to update and make changes as more clients provide feedback that reinforces well informed adjustments.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A customer asks to have an exploratory call with me. We meet over the telephone and I ask some questions that help inform me of the context of the problems and difficulties that are prompting the need for help at the moment. We look ahead 3-4 months, and forecast a life well lived and cared for and supported. Together we shape the tools and resources needed to grow into that supported life. If we see a match to my skills and your needs we decide on the program that fits, or if I can offer a referral for someone more appropriate.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Master's Degree from Lesley University, 30 years of experience in mental health in various roles, a 200 hour yoga teacher (700 plus hours of further yoga training), Mindfulness Instructor, and 3 years of Trauma Training post graduate, 50 post Master's credits in psychology.
