FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important thing is to look at the photographer's portfolio of a single wedding as well as their main body of work and make sure they are willing to work with you to capture the type of image you are looking for. Personality is also a factor, you need to feel comfortable around your photographer.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
With the ease of digital photography and photo programs everyone seems to think they are a photographer. Images are much easier to control and editing is a cinch, but there is so much more to professional portraits, wedding and event photography than simply taking the picture and editing it in a photo program. I attended Yosemite workshops under the guidance of the great Ansel Adams to understand exposure, light and texture, and also attended the Brooks Institute of Photography and was awarded a degree in master Photography from the Newport School of Photography. I was also awarded a distinction by The Royal Photographic Society for my contemporary portraits. I attend many workshops, seminars, webcasts and keep up on the latest digital and Photoshop advances and with my fine art background, I have an eye for color, composition and what gives an images "emotion".
