Connie has been our church bookkeeper for well over six years now. I have worked closely with her for the past five plus years. She did all of the church's bookkeeping and promptly produced the monthly financial statements (Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, P&L, and other assorted special accounts reports), annual financial reports for the Archdiocese; and annual budget worksheets for developing the upcoming fiscal budget. She also helped us create appropriate new budget lines and made recommendations upon how to appropriately account for items. She worked with the Finance Council to answer any questions and responded promptly to all requests and questions. Connie gave excellent customer service. She met with our Pastor regularly and as needed to ensure that all of his questions were answered as he began his first church assignment as the "one in charge". She advised him on cash flow issues and other accounting, bookkeeping issues as he learned "the ropes" of finances, budgets, etc. Connie was always prompt; met with our priest at his convenience, and produced accurate work. Connie's work was always well done and I have no suggestions for improvement.

Considering how Connie was asked by the Archdiocese to work in a situation where first there was little or no direction by the parish administration & then when there was it was thru a committee of people including the pastor , she did an incredible job balancing all the requests for information & label changing. Without her help in exposing the budgetary crisis the parish was in in 2009 the parish might not have survived. With her help we revamped all our money counting procedures for both parishes, & she's been invaluable in helping plan budgets & shared expenses. The budget worksheet she prepared for the finance council is a luxury I have not seen in other parishes to date. Also considering she was not the parish administrator & the parish cannot afford an administrator she filled many financial admin gaps without overstepping her bounds . Connie is succinct & direct & respectful of all involved & I will truly miss working with her & will miss many upbeat interactions with her & the rest of my staff.

Pricing is different for each business, I like to start by spending some time with you to understand your needs and to do an onsite review of your current systems before setting pricing. This initial meeting is free of charge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I am required to re-certify with QuickBooks every year. I am also required to have a minimum of 20 CPEs each year to maintain my Certified Bookkeeper qualifications.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions. Look for a provider that is willing to meet with you to assess your needs not just sell you a package, every business is different.
