FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All prices are negotiable! Each project is different, and requires different equipment, a different number of people, a different amount of pre-production planning, and a different amount of post-production editing! So, if you are interested but aren't sure about your price, please don't hesitate to call or email to ask questions!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to sit down together at the very beginning and discuss your vision and hope for the production so that I can have a clear understanding of what you hope to receive as an end product. From there, we schedule a date or dates to film as well as a project completion date. The completion date is the guaranteed date by which you will have your final product. On the filming day, I will show up with all my gear, ready to film, and after we've filmed I will begin the editing process! This process usually takes longer than any other part of the project, but this is what makes it all come together. When it is done, I will deliver the project to you on a USB Flash Drive.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Throughout high school I took video classes, and in college I took Advanced Video Storytelling, but most of my training has been informal - working with other videographers and using internet training resources. In today's world, anything you would need to know about videography can either be learned online or in practice. I have had two paid jobs as a videographer; one for a church and one for a private university.
