- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The interview is first, to see what a new customers goals are. Then there is the first session, to assess and evaluate what is going on with their body This helps me to formulate what their treatment plan should be. Then we schedule the treatments accordingly, At the end of each session there is homework to do to facilitate and incorporate the work done at that session and also to prepare for the work that will be done at the session that is following the one that just ended.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing some form of yoga for 30 years, as a result of this practice, I have developed intuitive senses that allow me to know innately where to begin working on a client. Every two years there is a requirement that as a massage therapist that, we have 25 hrs of continuing education, I have studied lymphatic drainage procedures, reflexology, polarity therapy, myofascial therapy release, and Tai Yoga on the table. Acupressure and Shiatsu as well. So I use all these within a treatment naturally and spontaneouly
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Through intense pain and trauma from accidents and illnesses, that showed me the paradigm necessary for healing. Having gone through these trials, it is clear what anyone must do if they want to feel better. Having understood this, I recognized this was my calling to help people live a higher quality of life, from my back round in yoga and breathing to helping anyone see and feel the things that are blocking them.
