My daughter and I hired Abigail to prepare an intimate wedding dinner for 15 people in August 2023. Abigail was prompt to reach out and proved easy and pleasant to chat with about what we had in mind. We were looking for a meal of simple elegance with local and seasonal ingredients. Abigail was on board with that and offered a lot of creative suggestions that made it easy to set our menu. Her professionalism and enthusiasm for her craft was clear before we even tasted her work.As the day grew closer, Abigail was available and responded quickly to last minute questions and decisions.On the day of the wedding, she was early and well prepared. We were impressed by her ability to arrive in an unfamiliar kitchen and get to work preparing something delicious despite the mild chaos of the wedding party around her. She prepared three courses for our meal, and brought each one to our table at just the right moment, adapting to our needs when we arrived at the table later than we had planned. Each course was delicious and unique in its own way, and her attention to detail in quality, sourcing, preparation, and presentation were exceptional.She also baked and exquisitely decorated the wedding cake. It was more beautiful than the inspiration picture we shared, and its rich texture and bright flavor matched its lovely appearance.All this to say, Abigail exceeded our expectations! Her passion paired with her creative gifts made for a wonderful wedding dinner. We highly recommend her and hope to have the occasion to hire her for another event in the future.

We had a fabulous in-home dinner party, largely due to the wonderful, careful, attentive, creative work of Ginkgo Fine Dining.Chef, Abigail and Somalia, Andrew were a fantastic team! They arrived early and were fully organized and prepared well before the beginning of the festivities. They served each of the 5 courses beautifully arranged, each paired with a delicious wine and the tastes were terrific together. Abigail's menu choices were perfectly chosen for this dinner and Andrew's cocktail set up and wine pairings were the perfect compliment that made the party a huge success.They both provided something for everyone! I was especially impressed that they were able to transport this meal and prepare everything so perfectly in a kitchen that was not their own - not an easy task!Our floorpan is a wide open room that incorporates the kitchen and the dining room and Abigail and Andrew were fully exposed during the whole evening and they moved about in such a way that they never disturbed, but their presence enhanced the overall experience of the evening. They were so personal, yet professional and total exceeded our desire and expectations for this event.I would highly recommend them both for any special occasion.

I worked with Abigail on a private dinner for a friend's bachelorette weekend. Abigail was fantastic to work with and the ultimate professional from start to finish: communicative, responsive, accommodating, and proactive. She consistently provided fun/creative suggestions for food to accommodate several dietary restrictions. She went above and beyond; taking the ferry to remote Orcas Island, arriving at the Airbnb early, and communicating throughout the process. Bringing in Abigail's expertise for an intimate dinner was not only lovely and delicious, but a fabulous experience overall. Every dish was beautifully crafted, creative, and unique. All seven of us raved about her cooking, presentation, and food all weekend long and agreed it was a highlight of the trip to elevate the weekend.
