What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most project pricing is based on expected hours and resources required as well as value provided. I prefer to provide written budget estimates detailing the work to be done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Attend workshops, seminars and industry events to stay current. Regularly update software and study new methods, features and controls. Subscribe to industry journals, magazines and blogs.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Websites, brochures, branding, logos, trade-show displays, packaging, presentations, consulting.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't be too shy to ask to see a portfolio or work samples along with some references and case histories. Check out their training and experience. Ask if they have done work for clients like you and if you can get up-front budget estimates without obligation. Most professionals are happy to put together a proposal for you.
