My works stands out by creating a sense of empathy in the viewer. Empathy is what I look for in each photograph I take. Empathy to make the viewer feel love, sadness, excitement, apprehension, anticipation, release, and the whole gambit of human emotion that comes into play when people marry people. I feel this sense of emotion is key for the viewer to understand who is in the photographs. One day, these photographs will be all that you have left of your wedding, these photographs having literally melded into your memories to become your memories. Then, becoming the memories of future generations and genealogists who will view them. These are your wedding photographs. I take great pride in my work and it is my every goal that you be happy with your photographs. When possible, I like to meet in person to get to know you a little bit. If we are in different states or countries, we can meet over Skype or Facetime. I love photographing people and showing them how they look to others. It's a very powerful experience for both the one being photographed and the photographer. Sometimes it's the first time my client has felt great about their appearance or felt beautiful and to me, that's AWESOME.

Tyler delivered better than expected end results, having little/no experience in boudoir photography combined with my acne break out. I got basically what I wanted and I think Tyler will only get better.

After researching for days for an ideal photographer for our wedding, Tyler was everything we were looking for. He was professional, polite, and knew the right questions to ask during his preparation. Best of all, we were totally comfortable with him embracing creativity and using his style in our setting. And he captured that flawlessly. The guests loved him, he was able to organize our insanely large wedding party, and he was super flexible in the little day-of changes. He went beyond our expectations with the end product, and now we literally have hundreds of stellar snapshots from our special celebration (which we will treasure even more-so because our videographer cancelled last minute). Tyler has a bright future ahead of him, and we are so thankful for his awesome service!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing is based of a $500/hr for coverage. This includes weddings, portraits, and events. A detailed pricing brochure is available.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to know as much as possible about who I'm working with because it helps me make the best photographs. If possible, I like to arrange a time and place to meet or talk on the phone to discuss what you're looking for and how I can help. A specific contract and invoice is drawn up based upon our discussion.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been photographing for over a decade. In 2013 I started Tyler Ray Photography because I wanted to start a business and make art. Wedding photography is exactly the thing in life I want to be doing and I am very fortunate to be doing it.
