When planning our auction event Island Girls Catering was very professional, inviting, personable and truly a delight to work with. VERY helpful, beyond what a cater normally has to be. They took the utmost care for our event. The catering team was very on top of their task, very receptive and helpful. The food, words can't convey. The flavors, harmony, and beauty of the food was outstanding. We had appetizers of smoked salmon cheesecake, mini capese bites, hummus & veggies. Everyone RAVED. The freshness, flavors, presentation was executed perfectly. The main dinner consisted of beef brisket, brown sugar garlic chicken thighs, mexican quinoa salad, roasted green beans, rosemary sea salt rolls and spring greens. Hot, Fresh, amazing flavor combinations. We had several guest with different dietary needs and all of their needs we're met. Island Girls also supplied our bartenders. They we're very helpful, professional and on top of everything. Very personable and kind. Everyone on the Island Girls team was a pleasure to work with and Carol Hamre runs a great business. Thank you from the bottom of Lighthouse Cooperatives hearts. We can't wait to use Island Girls Catering for our next auction event.

Hiring Island Girls Catering was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding day! Carol and her team were amazing, the food was incredible and they made the process so easy and stress free. They accommodated our gluten-free menu ideas and brought them to life. Prior to our big day, Carol invited us to her home for a private tasting of each item; brunch, dinner and dessert. Gluten-free baking is definitely an art that this team has perfected! SO GOOD!! She made sure everything was perfect, and accounted for every detail. The wedding day consisted of brunch in the morning for our bridal party, followed by catered dinner and cupcakes for our reception. We found our guests sneaking leftovers in the fridge around midnight - that’s when you know your caterer was on point! The food choice(s) for a wedding is such a focal point for what your guests will remember. Do yourself a favor and give Island Girls Catering a try to develop a menu unique to your palate. They will not disappoint!

I contacted Carol within 6 days of the party and she was remarkable in pulling off my son's 5 year-old birthday party with camouflage cupcakes including a camo net and cupcake stand, great food for an outdoor picnic setting, she cooked pigs-in-blanket and mini-pizzas on site, and was delightful to be around. Amazing catering service and amazing person to be at the event! I loved every minute she was there and actually got to relax and enjoy the party!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We use a program called better cater which is a database and quote service. It's very efficient for us.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We love to meet with them if possible to talk about what their needs are - that is the most important thing to us - our customers being happy! We offer very personal service and each an every customer is valued.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been to countless cooking classes and are always stretching our knowledge of cooking by reading cookbooks and watching the food Network!
