- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For roofing, siding, painting, and most aspects of construction, my estimates are based on a square foot price. However, any remodel work is based on the scope of the work and an estimated cost of time and materials involved in the work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Return phone calls immediately. Set a time, which is suitable for the customer to meet and discuss the project. Accurately measure the size and scope of the job. Explain the process of estimating the job and provide a date when the estimate will be delivered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went through the Carpenter's Apprenticeship Program in Pasco, Washington. Graduated from the program in 1982. Since then I worked for Guy F. Atkinson as a Journeyman Carpenter Later becoming Carpenter foreman, then General Foreman. Owner and operator of Wickward Construction, 1983 - 1991. Returned to work for Atkinson Construction until a work accident ended my career February 1999. Since then, I have earned a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering Technology and Associate degree in Architectural drafting.
