I hired EpicScapes do both construction, land clearing and a front yard designed and installed by them, all completed within 2 weeks. They showed up when they were scheduled, were considerate of my neighbour's and street traffic and gave me clear pricing which was restructured as I decided to do the work in phases. Michael was patient and understanding and offered several ideas that were critical work arounds when dealing with Whatcom County. (And they clean up real good!). Thanks Mike for being awesome all the way. Will be hiring you again very soon.

Mike does amazing work and he will always keep you updated throughout the whole project to make sure you are happy with the results. I had a new deck built last summer and a whole landscape transformation done this spring. Mike has great rates and I highly recommend him for any type of services you are needing done.

Mike showed up on time and was able to address all of my sprinkler problems quickly and effectively. His price was reasonable and Ill definitely have him back for a tune up and other projects. Highly recommend him for any sprinkler or lawn project.

So grateful for Mike and Jason!I had another sprinkler company come out and attempt to fix my low-lying leaky sprinkler head. They were unsuccessful as my sprinkler continued to leak! I was very concerned because my leaky sprinkler was not only leaking into my yard under the fence but into my neighbor's yard as well!That is when I contacted EPICSCAPES!!Although they were several miles away finishing a job. Theycame that evening and spent a few hours replacing my current sprinkler head with a new one. I was told the original sprinkler head not only had a leak but being in the low part of the yard it would continue to drain water into the yard from the other front yard sprinklers. Unfortunately, the next morning the new sprinkler head continued leaking!Luckily for me they had spent the night in town and were available to me the next morning! They went back to Home Depot and got a different sprinkler head which totally worked! Mike explained to me this sprinkler head is taller and has a back flow device that will prevent the drainage from the other front yard sprinklers from draining down to this sprinkler and out into the yard!This taller new sprinkler is providing so much more coverage to the front lawn and NO LEAKS!!I am so grateful for an honest company that cares about their customer and doing the job right!!I was also grateful that they periodically entertained my wonderful Golden Retriever!!Thank you so much Mike and Jason,Judy

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You may see apps like this push contractors to list flat prices, but honest excavation and landscape construction doesn't work that way. Every property is different, and pricing depends on the job, the site conditions, access, materials, and complexity. What we can promise: estimates are free, and your price is clear and written down before any work starts. No surprise fees. We'll come walk the property with you, and for some projects we can even give you an estimate over a video call. If the full project doesn't fit your budget right now, we're happy to design it in phases so you get real results now and work toward the finished vision over time. You'll always know what a phase costs before we start it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a conversation. Reach out, tell us what you're dealing with or dreaming about, and we'll talk through the property, your goals, and your budget. Then we come walk the site with you (or do a video walkthrough for some projects) and follow up with a clear written estimate. Once you give the go-ahead, we schedule the work, show up when we say we will, and keep you in the loop the whole way through. When the work is done, we walk the finished project with you and make sure you love it. And we clean up real good. A customer said that in a review, and we're keeping it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education is 25+ years of hands-on work: equipment operation, excavation, grading, drainage and culvert work, rock and boulder retaining walls, deck and structure builds, and finish landscaping. In this trade the ground is the classroom, and I've spent decades learning what holds up through Northwest winters and what doesn't.
