FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It is not complicated at all. We charge 800 initial fee and that can take care of most problems. However, where a case requires additional work, we will assess another fee along the line. It can go up to and above 2,000 for the whole process, but it is still 5 times lower than what another firm would charge for less work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I keep up with the Ninth Circuit, especially, and with other circuits decisions. It isn't about what the law says anymore, but about how the Circuit Courts determine the law. By keeping up with the law, you stay up on the latest developments.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I received a call from a guy who knew a guy who had been sent to prison for burglary and theft. The client then told me that he had gone to a house to rob it but was high from drugs and fell asleep on the porch of the house. he was awaken when the people looked out and saw him. They beat him, took him to the basement and tied him up and kept him there for several hours waiting for the police to arrive. I took his case and got his sentence reduced by five years because they made a deal with me because we would have sued the victims for assault and false imprisonment. I could actually have had the entire case thrown out, but I was green.
