- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A $1 / mile travel fee after the first 5 miles applies to all in home sessons. A $25 cancelation fee will apply to appointments canceled with less than 24hrs notice. No shows or less than 1 hr notice will count as a full session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified CGC instructor and evaluator. I've traveled to participate in reactivity and problem solving seminars and gone through several series by Dave Kroyer and Michael Ellis.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this type of work after adopting a dog in which I could not find a trainer to work with. I was told she either needed to be put down or I could send her to a $5000 board and train for a 50% chance of her being able to be rehabilitated. Obviously neither was an option, so I committed to doing whatever it took to fix her. Far too many dogs are either rehomed or euthanized for aggressive and other unwanted behaviors that are almost always fixable if they receive the proper guidance.
