I believe Drawing and Painting should be fun and easy, and I show you all the steps to draw or paint anything you'd like to learn! I have been teaching Art for over 10 years at Central and South Seattle Colleges and Schack Art Center. I teach skills from beginning through advanced, such as shading, blending, lights and shadows, 3- dimensional objects, details, proportions, perspective, and composition. (and for Painting I also include color mixing, color schemes, blending, texturizing, layering, etc). Students really enjoy this way of learning, because it really builds their confidence in their art skills! Lessons can go at whatever pace you'd like, you are encouraged to ask questions and share your work, and you can also choose whatever subjects that you would like to learn most! Some of the Drawing and Painting subjects that can be covered during Art Lessons include: Animals (Mammals, Birds, Sea Creatures, etc.) Plants- Flowers, trees, etc. People Portraits Cartooning Caricatures Landscapes (Forests, Mountains, Lakes, Waterfalls, Canyons, Ocean, Seascapes, Gardens, National Parks, etc)     Sci Fi and Fantasy Creatures Clothes Buildings/ Cities Vehicles- Cars, Airplanes, Space Ships, etc. Objects and Still Lives Anything else you are interested in learning how to draw or paint! My Drawing and Painting classes are well adapted to online (Zoom), and students have really enjoyed this way of learning as well, because they can watch the art techniques during the live online lessons, ask questions, see the pictures and drawing/ painting demos up close, and practice their drawing/ painting along with the lesson! I can tailor lessons to any skills and subjects that you would like to learn- Once you know the basic steps of drawing and painting, it makes everything so much easier! (for example, first you learn how to do the "outlines" and "proportions"- (how to make the sizes, shapes and positions relate to each other in a drawing or painting). Then you'll learn where to add highlights and shadows to your artwork, to make it look realistic and 3-dimensional, and then you learn how to blend and apply details to the artwork, making it come to life! Students really like this way of learning, because once you see how to do all of the steps of a drawing or painting (of any subject), it greatly boosts your confidence and skills, and eventually you can draw or paint anything!
