I attended a 1 day 4-hour seminar - Intro to PDR Fundamentals with Evan Dzierzynski of Nova Self Defense @ Crossfit South Arlington in November 2012. I drove down from NYC and I've studied martial arts for most of my adult life (42 when attended) and came with an open mind. What I didn't think was going to happen was being taken back at the amount of information conveyed in a short period of time. I had been researching the SPEAR system and BYOB classes for about a year. Evan and his staff sold me on the program that I now recently attained my Coaching Certification to become part of Blauer Tactical. I'd like to say thank you so Evan and the two other coaches who were extremely helpful.

I've been a student of Mr. Rainey's for a few years now and found him to be very patience and technical in his teaching of Kenpo Karate. Mr. Rainey has been a great teacher and does well with all ages of students. I'm very thankful in finding a person like Mr. Rainey who is willing to pass on his many years of experience he has obtained through his years of studying Kenpo Karate.

I took Karate from Misha and found her to be a compassionate and knowledgeable instructor with a sincere desire to help her students succeed. The age of the student doesn't matter. I took her classes as an adult and found them to be inspirational and rewarding. She truly cares about her students and her passion for teaching (both Karate and life's lessons) is obvious. I highly recommend her.

He's a great martial arts instructor! He's knowledgable in karate, aikido, and jujutsu, but more importantly--he can teach what he knows. Whether you're a beginner or a black belt, working with Yamamoto-Sensei will help you improve.

I've been training with Sifu Steve at Dragons Lair 2 for over a decade. In that time I've learned not only how to defend myself in a physical confrontation, but I've developed confidence in all other aspects of my life. I started as a shy overweight teenager and the principles I learned through the teachings of Gung Fu have helped me to develop into a happy, well rounded, healthy adult. I highly recommend this class and this instructor to anyone who wants to walk the path of personal development.

Jeff has been training with me for more than three years. He assists me in teaching martial arts students and students in the woman's self defense class. He is a certified third degree black belt in a sister Okinawan karate system. He is passionate in teaching the arts and relates to the students very well. He is able to break down the techniques and teaches the concepts and principles in an easy to understand way. He is organized and reliable and always thinking about how to improve what is accepted norm.

Sensei Jackson has been a mentor and coach to my daughter since she started karate instruction at the age of 6. She is now 11 and a black belt. Sensei Jackson blends diligence with patience in the course of instruction. He teaches at all levels of skill and encourages diversity in his dojo. In fact, I have been a student in class at times as well as my daughter, as all ages are welcome. In addition, Sensei Jackson has spent years contributing to his community through his mentoring of at risk kids. I feel that these years of instruction have imbued my daughter with a confidence of carriage and a respect for herself and others. We decided to make a long-term commitment to karate as a discipline and sport for our daughter. It is the one constant sport we have maintained over the years...through soccer, swimming, &c. Over the years we have grown very attached to Sensei Jackson and appreciate the instruction and direction he offers to our daughter.
