Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I guarantee that I can make your structure varmint proof. Like my name, Jack Russell, I was born for this. I am the only fully licensed Wildlife Damage Management operator in Washington State with a degree in Wildlife Biology and a background as a former Game Warden I am happy to give free advice over the phone on nearly any weird wildlife encounter and what to do about it. Even if it doesn't involve hiring me at all. You can be assured that any wildlife issue you have, I can give you the best way to solve it. I am fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Every day is a new challenge. No two wildlife scenarios are exactly alike, and no two houses have the exact same issues. There is nothing boring or dull about solving a new problem every day, and my clients often treat me as their own personal rescuer. I have a unique opportunity to see wild animals in situations that most people never get to experience, and with that knowledge I have lots of great stories to tell, and experiences to share. Sometimes this job is dirty, smelly, scary, or even dangerous, but every day is fun, and I get to see all parts of our great state. Taking the ferries from jobs in Seattle to Jobs in Bremerton or similar trips are a great example.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

As mentioned above the following six types of animals are the ones I deal with the most. Raccoons, Opossums, Rats, Squirrels, Starlings, and Bats. These animals easily account for over 90% of the wildlife pest problems in Western Washington. Starlings are usually nesting in attic vents, Rats, Opossums and raccoons are usually living in crawlspaces, Squirrels and Bats usually occupy attics. There are many other species I deal with, but it would take all day to list them all. You name it, and I've probably been called out on it. Spring is my busiest season as the animals are having their young and nesting is a high priority. Most infestations occur at this time. Most of my off-season jobs are actually spring infestations that weren't noticed for a long time. It doesn't matter how long the problem has gone on, though. I can solve it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the company you hire is fully accredited. This usually means having the following certifications... Washington State Master Business License, WA Dept of Labor and Industries Contractor's license, WA Dept of Fish and Wildlife Trapper's License, and Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator's Permit. EPA Lead Safe Certification, Biohazard Remediation training, They should also have marked and labelled vehicles and wear a clearly identifiable uniform. Given the sensitive nature of some of the work wildlife operators do, many fly-by-nights will mask their illegal or unethical work practices by remaining anonymous in unmarked vehicles and plain clothing.
