Mari is a special teacher. Her experience, her artistic range and her "nose for what works" is second to none. She's also adored and revered by both the Titans of the industry and the critical community, but that's not the whole reason to go to her. Yes, $25 for each 30 minute sesson.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First it's best to find out what the customer wants to achieve. I have a list of questions I ask my students. Then I assess where they are by running them through some vocal exercises and ask if they have a piece they would be willing to perform for me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduate of The Juilliard School and The University of Washington. Over 300 professional credits within a 30 year career: Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regional Theater, Television, Back-Up Singing, Film, Commercial Voice-Overs, Concert Work.
